Ravi Teja's real name is Bhupatiraju Ravishankar Raju. He was born on 20th January 1968 in Jaggampeta, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. His father is Rajgopal Raju, a Pharmacist and Rajyalakshmi, a home maker.
He was a naughty child who used to set fire to couches to enact action scenes. He tried to run away from home to become an actor in Bollywood when he eleven years old.
He studied at N.S.M Public School and Siddhartha Degree College.
He is married to Kalyani. They got married in 2002 and had a daughterMokshadha in 2003 and a son Manit in 2006.
